No, not the best deal.
Sundin will not resign with toronto for less money then he got paid before
and he will not take a pay cut after what the leafs did to him.
reject considering his actual plans

the leafs only asked him to waive his ntc...the fans are bad and mats doesn't care about the fans that bash himhe said so him self....and yes he would take a pay cut

I do believe that Sundin would sign back in Toronto. That being said he is still a star player in the league. He made $5.5 million last year so I think $5 million would be the absolute lowest he would go.

Make it 6 million atleast cause Sundin has rejected 10million!! So that means money isn't everything to him but he still wouldn't sign for less.

I gotta agree that 5.5-6M is the lowest he would sign for. Even if he is a team player and "Leaf for life", he wouldn't take THAT much of a paycut.

4.5 is way to low i say 6.5 mil minimum, if he is to sign back with leafs

I'm going to accept the 5 million per year offer. It's only $500k less than he made last year and he isn't getting any better. This should also let him finish his career with Toronto.

is sundin not a free agent so any team could sign him. should we not only bealble to sign rfa's until free agency opens

No, we are giving everybody a chance to sign their own teams players as they have the rights to, and in a day or so, the ones left unsigned will be free agents for everybody

so 5 million is a 0.5 paycut which he would take to stay in toronto
