With free agency winding down, there still remains one superstar left on the market: Jaromir Jagr. Jagr is hearing out offers left and right, and sources say other teams still haven't entered in their bid on the Czech native yet. When asked why Jagr would be a good fit on their team, a GM who asked not to be named responded, "A player with that kind of skill, size and power doesn't come along that often. We're talking about a surefire Hall of Famer here." According to Eklund, the leading canditates for Jagr seem to be the Los Angeles Kings and the Florida Panthers who are both reportedly dishing out big money and the young talent on both teams certainly would be a good fit for Jagr. However, it is also being speculated that Jagr could go back to where it all started and sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have also reportedly entered a bid for Jagr. Many more teams could enter into the race also. Jagr is expected to make his decision in the next 48 hours.

I doubt Jaromir will want to play for a mediocre team this late in his career, he will obviously be looking for another Stanley Cup. Here in San Jose, he can do that, along with becoming one of the highest paid players on our team.

Yeah well you never know if the Panthers will win the cup. On Florida he will be THE most highest paid player on the team. Plus money is the most important thing thats why Sundin's going to VAN.

Jagr will not be in nhl 09 by the way, because EA sports won't put the league of the KHL in the game, so don't waiste your time signing players that will not play next year!

According to Eklund, Jagr has signed a deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins for 1 year, at a total of 5 dollars. Jagr wants to go back to Pittsburgh where it all began, and doesnt care about the money as he is 100 percent sure Pens will win the cup this year lol JK, but imagine Jagr in my line-up. TOOOO NUTS
